Hundreds of students of Bayero University are to benefit with the indigent scholarship scheme from corporate bodies and other wealthy individuals to pay for their registration. 

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, disclosed this on Thursday, 10th August, 2023 when he received members of the Kano State Nigeria Union of Journalists Correspondents' Chapel in his office. 

He noted that many wealthy individuals have responded to solicitations made by the Management on the need to come to the aid of the needy students.

COMMENCEMENT OF BUS SHUTTLE FOR STAFF

The Management of the university has  initiated palliative measures for staff and students as part of its efforts to cushion the effect of subsidy removal.

In line with this development,  daily bus shuttle from town to the University campuses  commenced on Monday, 24th July 2023. Each day (Monday to Friday) buses will depart BUK Zoo Road staff quarters and have stopovers at Dan Agundi junction (near Aliko filling station), Old Campus gate and stop at New Campus.

In view of the current difficulties faced in the country as a result of fuel price hike that results in an incessant rise in the price for food and services, Bayero University has rolled out palliative measures for staff and students.

 This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas during the University's 56th Congregation Meeting on Saturday, 22nd July, 2023.

 Hundreds of staff gathered to discuss issues that affect the university's growth and development which was chaired by the Vice Chancellor.
