CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR NON-DEGREE ORIENTED RESEARCH GRANT 2025

The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Partnership (DRIP) wishes to inform Bayero University research community that the call for applications for Non-Degree Oriented Research Grant will be open on Monday, May 5, 2025. Interested applicants are advised to download the guidelines and application form here:

Applicants, Heads of Department, Deans of Faculty/School and Directors of Centre/Institute are advised to note the following timeline:

1.       Application opens – May 5, 2025

2.       Proposal writing - May 5, 2025 to May 30, 2025

3.       Assessment by Departmental Research Committee - June 2, 2025 to June 6, 2025

4.       Assessment by Faculty/School/Institute/Centre Research Committee - June 6, 2025 to June 13, 2025

5.       Submission of the soft copy - on or before June 15, 2025 at:

Proposals should be in full adherence to the guidelines and application template. All proposals should be screened by the relevant Departmental and Faculty/School/Institute/Centre Research Committees. Please note that, submissions of the original proposal to DRIP must be accompanied with the minutes of the meetings where the proposals were considered and recommended for funding. Deans, Directors and Heads of Department are requested to use the prescribed assessment forms to evaluate the proposals.

Successful proposals shall be recommended to TETFund for funding under the Institution-Based Research (IBR) intervention.
