The university was initially established in 1964 as a humanity-based institution (Abdullahi Bayero College) with only ten students (awarded Ahmadu Bello University degrees), it changed into Bayero University in 1976 awarding its own degrees. Join us in BUK to study the course of your choice. There are about thirty four thousand undergraduate students enrolled currently in the university. Several courses offered with different durations say four, five years and more.

This is to inform all concerned students that the registration portal will be opened for candidates who chose Bayero University , Kano as first choice and were not able to register within the stipulated time in the 2023/2024 PUTME screening exercise.

The portal will be opened from Monday 22nd April, 2024 to Sunday 28th April, 2024.
