Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas emerged as the 11th Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano as announced by the Council of the University, under the chairmanship of Professor Ibrahim Gambari  on Saturday, 8th August, 2020. He is a professor, Nigerian academician, and an administrator.
