FUNCTIONS

The Centre for Information Technology has a pivotal role to play in promoting the academic and research programmes undertaken by the University. As the Information Technology (IT) revolution rapidly unfolds, this role is likely to become even more important.

The primary functions of the Centre for Information Technology are as follows:To provide computing facilities for every interested member of the University community.

       To provide professional advice and guidance in the use of computers.

       To provide advanced resources for special applications such as research projects.

       To provide training for members of the University community.

       To provide consultancy services

       To provide training for outsiders.
